At ECOC 2025, held in Copenhagen, Denmark from September 28-October 2, 2025, doctoral fellow Haoyang Tan gave an oral presentation on his work about “Single soliton comb generation in SiC microresonators via thermal compensation using obliquely polarized pumping.”

Haoyang’s work proposed and experimentally demonstrated a robust thermal compensation scheme for thermally stabilized single soliton generation using obliquely polarized pumping. Once the soliton forms, the cooling power is redirected to the comb mode for soliton generation, enhancing the comb power and bandwidth.
