Haoyang at ECOC 2025

At ECOC 2025, held in Copenhagen, Denmark from September 28-October 2, 2025, doctoral fellow Haoyang Tan gave an oral presentation on his work about “Single soliton comb generation in SiC microresonators via thermal compensation using obliquely polarized pumping.”

ECOC is a leading conference in the field of optical communication, bringing together researchers, engineers, and industry experts from around the world. The event provides a dynamic platform to present new technologies, share insights, and discuss future trends in fiber optics and communication systems. Haoyang’s work proposed and experimentally demonstrated a robust thermal compensation scheme for thermally stabilized single soliton generation using obliquely polarized pumping. Once the soliton forms, the cooling power is redirected to the comb mode for soliton generation, enhancing the comb power and bandwidth.
