From June 1–5, 2025, doctoral fellow Shivaprasad Hulyal presented his research on Arrayed Waveguide Gratings on Lithium Tantalate at INGEN 2025, held in Saanen, Switzerland.
INGEN provides a unique forum that brings together researchers in integrated optics and emerging nanophotonics. Shivaprasad’s presentation showcased progress in establishing lithium tantalate as a new photonic integrated circuit (PIC) platform, with demonstrations of arrayed waveguide gratings (AWGs) that can enable high-modulation, data-rate optical transmitters.
The meeting offered an opportunity for close interaction with the European photonics community in an intimate setting, helping shape discussions around the future of next-generation electro-optic PIC technologies.
