At CLEO Europe 2025, held in Munich, Germany from June 22–27, 2025, doctoral fellow Shivaprasad Hulyal delivered a presentation on Arrayed Waveguide Gratings on Lithium Tantalate.
CLEO Europe brings together the European and international photonics community, serving as a key stage for new breakthroughs in optics and quantum electronics. Shivaprasad’s talk emphasized the emergence of lithium tantalate as a novel photonic integrated circuit platform, showcasing the realization of arrayed waveguide gratings (AWGs). This work highlights the material’s promise in advancing next-generation optical transmitters with high modulation speeds and data capacity.
